This Z50Bus compatible card houses a Z80 SIO/2 (dual-channel serial input/output) device (Z84C42xxPEG) and a baud rate generator for each channel.

• Full Z80 mode 2 interrupt support (IEI/IEO daisy-chain)
• Two TTL serial ports for use with FTDI serial adapter cables
• Baud rate set with jumper shunt (2400 to 115200 baud)
• On-board oscillator for independence from CPU clock rate
• Device address set with jumper shunts
• Optional connection of either port to Z50Bus RX/TX pins

The Kit

The kit contains everything you need to build the card (as shown in the first picture), except solder, tools, and cleaning materials. To use the completed card you require a backplane (eg. SC501), a power/reset card (eg. SC502), a processor card (eg. SC516), a USB to serial adapter (5-volt power and 5-volt signals), a computer, and a terminal program, such as Tera Term.
