This module supplies power to the RCBus. The input is from 8 to 15 volts (D.C.) at a maximum of 1 ampere. The module contains a voltage regulator to provide the RCBus with a 5 volt 1 ampere supply. This 5 volt supply can also be used to power external devices from the onboard screw terminal and pin header.
The module also provides a reset signal to the RCBus. This signal is generated from a reset button, or external reset switch connected to the onboard pin header. A voltage supervisor and reset device is also included, which provides a reliable reset at switch on.
The module has the following features:
The documentation can be found at www.smallcomputercentral.com
This module conforms fully to the RCBus specification v1.0 and thus supports: RCBus-2014, RCBus-Z80, RCBus-68xx, RCBus-9995.
This module is fully functional on backplanes with 40 or 80 pin sockets.
The RCBus specification includes RCBus-2014 (both RC2014 standard 40-pin bus and RC2014 enhanced 60-pin bus) and also the full 80-pin RCBus. The 80-pin RCBus provides support for advanced Z80 features, such as the interrupt daisy-chain, as well as support for other processor families.
This kit includes all the components needed to make the module, as shown in the first picture. Other modules and backplanes shown in the pictures are not included. You will require tools, solder, and cleaning materials to assemble this kit.
The printed circuit board is available on its own here.
