Just as described there were some sanding involved, and after that it fit perfectly! Follow the guide and make sure you purchase the right version for your controller!

Great mod, needs better instructions
Mod works fantastically once in place but the video 'guide' could have done with being more of a functional guide rather than a very pretty B roll-esque showcase, i.e. close-ups of the cutout from each angle after complete so you can see exactly how much material needs to be removed and from which particular areas.

Works well, but you need the correct tools to install it.
You have to grind down some parts of the controller to get the board to fit in and that can be tricky without the correct tools. How well it looks after you grind the plastic down is entirely dependent on how carefully you do it, I recommend watching Marius Heier's video on this.
Also make sure you order another ribbon cable as I managed to break my one when I was trying to plug it in again because it is very thin and can easily break if not handled carefully.
The board itself works great once inside the controller (after grinding the plastic) USB-C charging works and I can even connect it to my phone which has a USB-C port and the phone recognizes it and lets me use it. I have tested it with three USB-C chargers and it works on all of them.

This upgrade is a must if you're still using dualshock4 for whatever reason.
I use my dualshock 4 for PC gaming and this USB C upgrade is the best upgrade ever. Took me 5min to swap and done. No more lose mini-USB issues and i don't need to have 2 type of wires on my desk.

Came quickly, works flawlessly thus far.
Highly recommend, despite my DS4 joysticks getting slightly old (PS4 Pro launch) and having tiny inconsequential jitter, the controller is still fully functional but the micro USB was making it sometimes impossible to use. This will definitely extent the life of your controller, I'm personally very satisfied. BTW, you don't need anything other than a knife to carve the plastic around the port, you don't need a solder, you don't need a Dremel, you don't need a CERN laser, just use a knife, bro.

Excellent product
The product itself is very well made, and I like it a lot. It has worked flawlessly since installation, meeting all my expectations. However, I found the documentation (a one-minute-long YouTube video) lacking, especially in the section on filing. To install the adapter, it’s necessary to file down the opening in the case. I carefully filed down both sides bit by bit, and when the adapter finally fit, I realized I only needed to file one side. The adapter tilts slightly inward when mounted, with ample space on one side even without filing. This isn’t a major issue; the opening I created looks almost original, just a bit off, as the USB-C port doesn’t perfectly align with the case. I also wish it had been mentioned somewhere that two retaining tabs break when you open the case. I don’t see any way to avoid this either. Again, it’s not a big deal, as the screws will securely hold the case together later, but it would have been nice to know beforehand. Nonetheless, the product still deserves five stars out of five.

Great fix for older controllers
Already went through 5 or 6 USB C mods on various models, the hardest thing would be not trimming too much plastic during installation, everything else is basically plug and play

Makes a real difference
I had an idea one evening that I wanted to convert my PS4 controller to the now more standardised C-type connection, both for convenience and it generally offering better connectivity as Micro usb ports are prone to wearing out. I guessed that someone must have had the same idea, so after searching the internet for some time, I came across Marius' YouTube video, explaining how he came up with the solution. I was very impressed and watched a few more of his videos and then subscribed to his channel. I then opened up my controller to find out which model I needed to order. I was brought to this website and swiftly ordered the item. I had to wait several weeks for my order to turn up as it was coming from Norway and I live in England. When it turned up I thought it was very nicely packaged, upon opening I could see that the item was of very nice quality and after slightly modifying my controller, using Marius' instructions it was very easy to fit. I can honestly say that I am very impressed, it makes life so much easier as I can now charge my ps4's controller with the same cable I use to charge my phone and other devices. I now have the added confidence that the port won't break now, so I won't have to eventually end up buying a new controller. I would definitely offer from him again, very happy with my purchase
